Often people assume that when they book with a budget airline, they will be automatically receiving the best possible price for their chosen flight. Sadly this is not really the case. Like all businesses, budget airline companies will try to make a profit from their dealings with you. The way these companies make their profit is through rather underhand methods such as adding extra charges for almost every aspect of your experience.
It is important to get a feel for the sort of extra charges you will encounter before booking your flight. Will you be charged for your payment method when booking? Is there a way for you to avoid this charge, for example by getting holding of a special payment card? How much luggage will you have to take on your trip, and how much will you be charged for it? Is there any possibility that you will have to change or cancel your flight? (This can be extremely expensive with a budget carrier).
Work out these issues, and then compare the likely price you will pay in total on cheap flight comparison sites. You may find that the fantastic price you discovered turns out not to be as fantastic after all when all the hidden costs are taken into account.
It is always best to compare flights online so you can find the best airline and price for your trip.
